The Rodger Cowdrey Entrepreneurship in the Arts Breakthrough Award
Roger Cowdrey is an international business consultant, mentor and author. He is also an alumni of the University of Brighton; he graduated with a teaching degree in 1968. He then had multiple careers in teaching, I.T, writing, and international business.
The Rodger Cowdrey Entrepreneurship in the Arts Breakthrough Award is a grant of £500, awarded to one student or graduate from the University of Brighton, who is in the middle of setting up a business, projects or freelance work in the arts. I was thrilled to find out that I was the winner of this grant!
I recently applied for this grant via interview with Rodger Cowdrey. I was very nervous because I’m new to business but fortunately, he believed in what I was trying to achieve. Thanks to this fund, I can expand the print side of my business, so that I can create more cards to sell.
I aim to create a bigger variety cards in terms of animal or pet choices. This will help my customers to find what they are looking for.
I also plan to create a good range of Christmas card bundles, watch this space!
A special thanks to Rodger Cowdrey for granting me this award.
