Another Riding Lesson with Bonnie
Today I had my second horse riding lesson at The Three Greys. The weather was forecast to be miserable today but luckily it was another sunny session (there isn’t an indoor arena).
Something made me laugh when I turned up early for my lesson. I was looking around the barn complex when out of the corner of my eye, I suddenly saw a cat’s head pop out of one of the roofs opposite me, much like the Cheshire Cat from Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland. I think the cat relished being just out of reach of the dogs that were sat looking up at it! There was also a cute Pug and a Miniature Pinscher puppy that came and sat next to me on the bench while I waited for the lesson to start, I do love all of this animal attention!
I met Bonnie again, the lovely blue eyed draught horse. She seemed to be a lot more relaxed with me this time and I was able to get her trotting around the arena a little better. I was asked to trot in circles and this proved hard because Bonnie was being cheeky. I managed to get Bonnie to do a couple of successful trots around the school but we still have a way to go. I’m really enjoying the lessons so far!
