My First Horse Commission
This week I have finished my first horse commission. I really happy with the outcome and the quality of my new Sennelier Watercolour paints. Sennelier uses honey instead of Ox Gall to bind the pigments in the paint. They are also longer lasting which is fundamental for my practice. I definitely recommend Sennelier for anyone looking to buy professional watercolour paints.
I am also excited to reveal that I have booked my first horse riding lesson! I have been wondering about horse riding for a while and I’ve finally got the guts to try it. I don’t have any pets and so I have missed being around animals. I’m excited but also nervous!
My favourite part of painting this commission was painting the many hues of the autumn scenery and the horse’ coat. I learnt that a white horse isn’t just white; that even a white coat reflects many different hues (according to the image I copied from).
