The Cutest Trio I’ve ever Painted!

Sorry it’s been a while, I needed to take some time to recover after working a lot. I have now completed 6/12 pet portraits. I’m really enjoying painting new animals such as snakes and Cockatoo’s, and this has really pushed my art skills. I have noticed that I’m getting quicker at completing my A5 portraits without compromising the overall quality. I completed the painting above in less than one day and I believe this because I am getting more confident in my painting ability and I’m using much quicker techniques such as, painting wet on wet so I can combine colours and textures faster.

I painted the above image from a photograph given to me by the owner. Originally the view of the kittens was obstructed by the bars of a cage that surrounded them, and so it was difficult to reconfigure the image, but I managed it with imagination! I’m pleased to say that the owner is pleased with it.
